Venice is a city in Northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is built on a group of more than 100 islands in a shallow lagoon. It has no roads, just canals, and for many is considered one of the most beautiful and iconic cities in the world. The city is full of Renaissance and Gothic palaces and famous for its central square which contains St. Mark’s Basilica.

Departing from Trieste by bus, an approximately 2h15min unguided transfer will bring you to Tronchetto, Venice where you will embark on a motor launch which will transport you to the heart of the city. Once there, you will have approximately three-hours of free time to discover some of the famous sights of this fabulous, floating city independently. Tick off a list of attractions such as the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Rialto Bridge or simply explore the narrow streets, enjoy a little shopping and watch the world wander by from a pavement café in St. Mark's Square.

At the agreed time and place you will re-board the motor-launch for the transfer back to Tronchetto, Venice’s practical gateway, where you will join your coach for the unguided return transfer to Trieste.
