Start your day by heading down to Albert Dock, where you will find the award-winning Beatles Story. Here you will find the world’s largest permanent exhibition where you can discover an immersive experience and be taken on a journey through the story of the band's lives and their music.

If you are still in the mood for music, then plan a visit to The Cavern Club. This live music venue is renowned for being the birthplace of The Beatles. There are shows on nearly every day, with some having no entry fee. So, if you are in the mood for music, The Cavern Club would be a great place to spend the evening before you depart and catch some live music.

Visit Liverpool Cathedral

Being the largest cathedral in Britain and the 8th largest church in the world, this historic building stands out in the Liverpool skyline. Liverpool Cathedral is of the most beautiful structures in the city, and it is free to enter, but going on the audio tour and into the tower requires a small fee. However, the unspoilt views of the city are simply breathtaking and should definitely be a part of your trip.

The construction of the cathedral began in 1904 and was completed in 1978, so it only took 74 years to complete. This means that it may be on the more modern side when it comes to similar buildings, but it does not make it any less spectacular.

Relax on a River Cruise

If you really want to take in the city from a different angle and get a feel for the water, then embarking on a river cruise is the perfect way to do just this. A short voyage will show you stunning views of Liverpool as well as getting to learn about the musical history, heritage, and how the ferries were involved during the First World War.
