Norwegian Nature by Coach
Andalsnes, cruise Romsdalsfjord

by coach & on foot
Åndalsnes is a picturesque village set on the shores of the Romsdalsfjord, serving as the terminus for the Rauma Railway which connects the Romsdal region to Eastern Norway and Oslo. Though the village was heavily bombed and nearly destroyed during World War II, it has since been rebuilt with modern architecture. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes, Åndalsnes is framed by towering mountains and jagged peaks, creating an awe-inspiring setting.
Board your coach and head on a panoramic drive alongside the River Rauma, famous for its salmon and a favourite destination for British anglers for over a century. To your left, you'll catch a glimpse of Romsdalshorn, towering at 1,550m (5,085ft), and to your right, the imposing Trolltindane peaks, rising to approximately 1,800m (5,905ft).
During your journey, you will continue to enjoy the fascinating landscape, including many attractive waterfalls on the way. You will also drive past the Kylling Bridge, which is an impressive work of engineering made solely of natural stone with each piece fitting wonderfully together.
Next is a photo stop at the breathtaking Slettafossen Waterfall prior to continuing your way to Bjorli. Upon arrival, you will head to Hills Bjorli where you will enjoy a coffee break and spend some time at leisure. Then, rejoin your coach for an approximately 45 minute drive back to Åndalsnes along the same scenic route.
