This experience is ideal for guests that would like a brief overview of Eidfjord, with minimal walking.

Board the Trolltrain at the pier. As the train makes its way through the village of Eidfjord, enjoy views of the fjord, mountains and daily life. Drive by the largest prehistoric burial ground in Western Norway, located on the Hæreid Plateau, and glimpse some of the Iron and Viking Age burial mounds.

You will pause for photos at a viewpoint overlooking the village and at St. Jacob’s Church which dates back to 1309. The church is located close to the Trebua Woodshop, and if you wish, you can leave the train here to browse the traditional, local wood carvings and fiddle collection. The walk back to the ship is around 10-minutes – alternatively remain on the Troll Train for the return drive.
