Immerse yourself in the indigenous culture of Norway during this memorable experience.

Board your bus at the pier, and set off on the approximately one-hour drive to Isogaisa Sámi Camp. Around 10% of the Sámi population still live as nomads, trekking with their reindeer. During this experience you will learn about the Sámi history and culture. You will be greeted by your Sámi hosts – shaman Ronald and his Sámi wife - in their colourful national costumes, and welcomed inside the lavvu (traditional Sámi tent).

During your visit, your hosts will share with you stories of Sámi life over the centuries, invite you to take part in a traditional shaman ceremony, and you will have a taste of an Arctic wrap and a hot drink.

At the end of this fascinating experience, rejoin your coach for the return drive back to Narvik and your awaiting ship.
