From the pier, your journey starts with a trip through Trondheim’s city centre. Admire the statue of the Viking King in the market square and pass the 12th-century Nidaros Cathedral, the largest Gothic-style cathedral in Scandinavia.

Drive past the Stiftsgarden, Norway's largest wooden building, now used by the Royal family. Cross one of the many bridges over the River Nid and admire the old drawbridge and colourful warehouses. On the hill behind Trondheim, you’ll see the Kristiansten Fortress and be able to spot the former fortification on Munkholmen islet in the fjord, now a popular swimming spot.

After this scenic introduction to the city, you will return to the pier.
