Bymarka is an 80km2 forest and nature reserve located just outside Trondheim city centre. This hike offers an opportunity to venture outside the city and to explore the Norwegian countryside and surrounding woodlands.

A short drive will bring you through the city centre, heading out towards Sverresli, with views of the fjord and forest-clad hills. This area of natural landscapes and contrasting scenery is a haven for residents of Trondheim all year round.

Join your guide on a nature hike through the forest, past small lakes and open landscapes. Reaching the highest point at Gråkallen Hill, 520m (1,700ft) above sea level, pause to take in the spectacular view across the fjords. On a clear day, it may be possible to spot the distant mountain chain that forms the border between Sweden and Norway.

Returning to the start point via the same route, you will rejoin the coach for the transfer back to the pier and your awaiting ship.
