Take a scenic drive through the town of Ocho Rios, renowned for its vibrant greenery, rolling hills, and rugged estuaries. Along the way, you will pass notable landmarks including Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a national monument draped in foliage with a grand entrance framed by royal palm trees. During your journey, you will also be treated to stunning views before arriving at the Green Grotto Caves for an underground adventure.

Formerly known by various names such as Runaway Cave, Dairy Cave, Rum Cave, and Dry Harbour Caves, the Green Grotto Caves are steeped in history, once offering shelter to Jamaica’s first inhabitants, the Tainos. Located just over 3km (1.8 miles) from the landing site of Christopher Columbus in 1494, the caves provide a fascinating journey into Jamaica’s hidden world.

As you explore the caves on foot, you will wind your way through a maze of magnificent stalactites, stalagmites, and other striking dripstone formations. You will descend 37m (121ft) into the innermost cavern to discover the grotto, with water so crystal clear it appears almost otherworldly. Before concluding this captivating tour, take a moment at the ‘Wishing Well’ and toss in a coin — for good luck, love, or whatever your heart desires, before your return journey.
