General Questions

Does the Nectar account name need to match the booking?
Your Nectar account name can be different from the name on your Ambassador booking; we just need the Nectar account number to apply your points.
Please make sure you enter your Nectar account number correctly so the right account collects the points.

Can I add my Nectar account to an existing booking?
Only bookings made after the Nectar partnership launch on 29 July 2026 are eligible. Guests cannot collect or spend Nectar points on bookings made before this date.

I forgot to add my Nectar account when I booked — what can I do?
Nectar accounts can only be added when you make your booking. Please make sure your Nectar details are entered correctly at that stage so you can collect your points.

Can Ambassador change the Nectar Partnership?
Ambassador may update or make changes to the Nectar Partnership from time to time. If any changes affect how you collect or spend points, we will make sure this is clearly communicated.

Can I use another promotion in my booking?
Nectar cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional codes, unless explicitly stated by Ambassador.

I’m not currently a Nectar member, can I use this offer?
This offer is exclusively for Nectar members to collect and spend points against the cost of an Ambassador cruise. Sign up is easy, visit www.nectar.com/welcome

What if I entered the wrong Nectar account number?
It’s important to enter your Nectar account details correctly when you’re asked for them during your initial booking or later on in My Ambassador Sailing.
If the wrong Nectar account number is entered, we’re not able to move or reallocate any points that were spent or collected — they’ll remain with the account originally provided. Making sure your details are correct from the start helps ensure your points end up in the correct Nectar account(s).

What happens if I cancel my booking?
If you choose to cancel your booking, our standard cancellation terms will apply. Please see our Booking Conditions on Ambassador’s website.
When a booking is cancelled:
• Any Nectar points you spent against the fare of your cruise will not be refunded.
• You will not collect any Nectar points on a cancelled booking, and any pending points will not be issued.
• You will need to cover any cancellation charges as per Ambassador’s standard cancellation terms. We will use the payment card portion of your deposit or balance first, and if this doesn’t fully cover the charges, additional amounts will be due.

What happens if my booking is cancelled?
If Ambassador needs to cancel a cruise, our Guest Reservations team will be in contact and we will always try to transfer you to another sailing as the first step. If you choose not to transfer and prefer to cancel instead:
• Any spent Nectar points will be manually reversed and returned to your Nectar account.
• You will not collect Nectar points for the cancelled booking, as points are only issued once a cruise or flight has returned to its final destination.

What happens if my cruise is delayed or disrupted?
In the unfortunate circumstance that your cruise is delayed or disrupted, you will still receive your Nectar points. Points are issued 14 days after the original date your cruise or flight was due to return to its final destination.

What happens if I transfer my booking to another cruise?
If you transfer your booking to a new cruise, Ambassador administration fees will apply. How your Nectar points are handled depends on whether the new sailing is eligible for Nectar.
If your new cruise is eligible for Nectar:
• Any spent Nectar points will move across to your new booking and continue to be treated as a discount.
• Any pending points to be collected on your original booking will transfer, capped at the fare value of the new cruise.
• Points cannot be collected or spent against Ambassador’s administration fees.
If the fare of your new cruise is different to your original booking:
• The total pending points to be collected will be adjusted accordingly in line with the new cruise fare value.
If your new cruise is not eligible for Nectar:
• Any Nectar points you’ve used will be forfeited.
• Any pending Nectar points for collection will also be forfeited.
Kindly note that the value of any additional services added after your initial booking is made, such as drinks packages or car parking, are not eligible for collecting or spending Nectar points.

You can spend Nectar points on the value of all eligible cruises booked directly with Ambassador. This includes No Fly and Fly Caribbean Cruises, the Saver and Ambassador Fare packages, full priced upgrades and applicable flight class (Fly Caribbean only).
Points cannot be spent on Charter Cruises, Christmas Parties, Plusgrade upgrades made to your booking and drinks packages purchased outside of the Ambassador Fare or after your booking is confirmed.

How do I spend my Nectar points?
Simply book directly with Ambassador through our website and add your Nectar account details when prompted to in the ‘Spend Nectar points’ section during booking.
It isn’t possible to spend Nectar points via our Ambassador Guest Reservations team, as the required two‑stage verification process can only be completed online. For help with digitally registering your Nectar card, visit www.nectar.com/welcome. However, once your booking is confirmed, if you have added your card number/s during the booking process with our Guest Reservations team, you will be able to spend Nectar points towards the remaining balance of your cruise through My Ambassador Sailing.
To do this, you’ll need to use one of the Nectar cards that our Guest Reservations team added to your initial booking to collect points. Simply register or log in to My Ambassador Sailing, link your Nectar card when prompted, and follow the steps to choose how many points you’d like to spend.

Is there a minimum number of points I must spend?
The minimum amount you can spend is 3,500 Nectar points, which is worth £17.50. Once you meet this minimum, any additional points you choose to spend must be added in increments of 500 points.

Is there a maximum number of Nectar points I can spend?
There is no maximum number, you can spend as many Nectar points as you have available and want to use towards your booking. However it is not possible to pay in points an amount that exceeds your booking value. Points must also be added in increments of 500 points.

When will my Nectar points get deducted from my account?
Points are deducted immediately during the booking process, once you’ve completed the two-stage verification.

What is the two-stage verification process?
The two stage verification is a security step used when you choose to spend Nectar points on your booking. It confirms that the person spending the points is the authorised Nectar account holder.
Here’s how it works:

  1. You select the Nectar card you want to spend points from

  2. A unique verification code is sent to the mobile number or email registered to that Nectar account

  3. You enter that code during checkout to confirm the points spend
The two-stage verification is in place to protect your Nectar point balance and ensure points can only be spent with the permission of the account holder.

How do I spend points from more than one Nectar account?
Guests can only spend Nectar points from one Nectar card. The Nectar card used to spend points must:
• Be the same Nectar card you used to spend points on your deposit (if you chose to use one), and/or
• Be one of the Nectar cards linked to your booking for collecting points.

Can I use points as a partial payment alongside a payment card?
Yes, you can use your Nectar points to reduce the cost of your cruise fare. If your points do not cover the full amount, you can pay the remaining balance with a payment card.
You will collect Nectar points on the portion you pay by card, in line with Nectar’s standard collecting rules.
