Charity & Partnerships
At Ambassador Cruise Line, we believe the strongest partnerships are built on shared values. We're proud to work alongside charities and sporting organisations that make a real difference to the communities we're part of and the waters we sail.
Every partnership is long-term and hands-on, and it's all part of doing things properly as a responsible cruise line. We select every sporting partner carefully, so they share our guests’ passions, from cricket and bowls to golf and curling. Alongside this, our charity partnerships support causes close to the hearts of our crew and guests, helping build a better future on land and at sea.
Because moments matter, on board and off.
Help For Heroes
Since 2024, we've been an official partner of Help for Heroes, the charity that provides physical, psychological and financial assistance for veterans and their families to help them live well after service. Together, we're raising funds on board and opening up travel opportunities for veterans with life-changing injuries.
Orca
Since our very first year of sailing, we've partnered with ORCA, a charity dedicated to studying and protecting whales, dolphins and porpoises in UK and European waters. Together, we launched the first ever cruise anti-whaling pledge. We also welcome ORCA's conservationists on board to gather vital data for the charity's work protecting whales and dolphins.
ESSEX COUNTY CRICKET
We've partnered with Essex County Cricket Club since 2022 and are proud to be one of its Principal Partners. Our partnership has grown from sponsoring the One Day Cup kit to the naming rights for the club's historic home in Chelmsford, now the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground, alongside our support for community cricket across the county.
Surrey COUNTY CRICKET
Since 2024, we’ve been the Official Cruise Line Partner of Surrey Cricket and the Kia Oval, bringing Surrey Cricket members and fans exciting ways to get to know Ambassador during the club's domestic fixtures, from exclusive competitions to special promotions.
WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY CRICKET
As Official Cruise Line Partner of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, we're proud to be part of the Bears family. Our multi-year partnership brings exclusive cruise offers and competitions to members and supporters, along with fan engagement and interactive experiences at Edgbaston during domestic and international fixtures.
Nottinghamshire Cricket
Our partnership with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club brings Ambassador to Trent Bridge, where you'll spot us pitch-side on matchdays and across the club's digital and social channels. We also support the ‘Trent Bridge Take’ - an alternative view of the action published after each international matchday.
Hampshire Cricket
We're proud to be the Official Cruise Line Partner of Hampshire Cricket and Utilita Bowl, joining our growing family of cricket partners. Supporters can enjoy exclusive offers, fan experiences and the chance to win a cruise at the ground, and Portsmouth, one of our seven regional UK ports, is just 17 miles away.
Leicestershire County Cricket
We are an Official Partner of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, bringing Ambassador to the Uptonsteel County Ground through pitch-side branding, the club’s matchday guide and its digital channels. Members and supporters can enjoy exclusive offers on our cruises, and we’re looking forward to welcoming plenty of Foxes fans on board.
World Bowls
As Title Sponsor of the World Bowls Tour's top-tier tournaments (the Scottish International Open and the World Indoor Bowls Championships), we are the world’s largest sponsor of indoor bowls. This partnership unites two great British pastimes, cruising and bowls, celebrating community, camaraderie and the warmest welcome at sea.
English Indoor Bowling Association
As Official Partner of the English Indoor Bowling Association in a three-year partnership, we're proud to support the indoor bowls community, from national competitions to the local clubs at its heart. Every Ambassador cruise booked by an EIBA member contributes to the EIBA Club Grant Fund.
Scottish Curling
Since 2024, we've sponsored Scottish Curling, the national governing body for the sport and, in its own words, The Home of Curling in Scotland. We support curling at every level, including as Title Partner of the 2026 Scottish Curling Mixed Doubles Championship, and offer members and supporters exclusive offers on our cruises.
ENGLAND GOLF
We’re proud to be England Golf’s Official Cruise Line Partner and Title Partner of the England Captains Members Programme, supporting a series of events and initiatives that celebrate and connect club captains across the country. We also sponsor an award category at the annual England Golf Awards.
