Discover Montego Bay
Montego Bay

by coach/coaster bus & on foot
Discover Jamaica’s second city, Montego Bay: a place that will leave an indelible mark with its history and natural beauty. This experience will take you past the new developments in the city and to the Westgate Hills residential area, where you will see luxurious homes with magnificent architecture.
After taking in breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, you will drive through one of the busy main streets of the city for a contrast of new and old. You will then pass the Barnett Street Police Station, which is of architectural significance as it dates to the late 19th century. Constructed from cut stone, the building’s design formally recalls the Georgian era.
Moving on to Queen’s Drive, you will pause for a while at Grand A View to enjoy a taste of refreshing coconut water served straight from the source, and savour the soft, delicate coconut meat before continuing with your journey.
You will continue to the ‘elegant corridor’ of Rose Hall, with its many five-star resorts and hotels. Along the way, you will take in a view of the Rose Hall Great House in the distance: an outstanding relic of colonial times with a fascinating and detailed history of dark rumour and intrigue.
After this, you will have some free time to explore Main Street, where you will find Scotchies Jerk, an authentic Jamaican jerk chicken outlet, and Devon House Ice Cream, along with varied handmade souvenirs of Jamaica, carved objects and duty-free items.
Your drive continues through the Ironshore area where you will see residential homes on your way to the Hip Strip and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. Enjoy a little free time to soak up the atmosphere of this popular location.
Leaving Margaritaville, you will continue to the centrepiece of downtown Montego Bay. Here you will drive through Sam Sharpe Square, with its Georgian buildings that stand side-by-side with modern structures, as well as monuments commemorating the history of the square. You will then return to the port.
