Great cruises but not so efficient customer service,

I would recommend as we have sailed with Ambassador before. I still haven’t received an email confirmation of my booking . Consequently I can’t log into my account as I have no booking reference.

Worried

Very polite but did not give me a reference no nor was I sent an email, I had to phone again to ask and was left holding the telephone line for over half an hour. Was offered a drink package at £289.00 but when I asked again it was nearly £400.00

Poor onboard booking experience

We booked a charter cruise while onboard our latest voyage, specifically requesting the cheapest available ocean-view cabin. We proceeded with the booking based on the cabin verbally offered to us at the time. However, when the general sale opened just three days later, there appeared to be a glut of cheaper ocean-view cabins available. This left us feeling disappointed and questioning the transparency of the booking process. The face-to-face sales experience onboard was poor, with no clear presentation of the other available cabins or access to cabin maps to help us make an informed decision. The whole process felt rather secretive, with insufficient information provided about the available options. In hindsight, we should perhaps have asked more questions before committing, but we would have expected a more transparent and customer-focused approach from the outset. Overall, a disappointing experience that has left us feeling that we may not have been offered the best available option.

Easy booking online but not on phone

Easy to book online but I needed to call Ambassador as I used a promotion code and the benefits were not added automatically. It took a long time to get through on the phone (30 minutes) and they couldn’t help. I had to email them a copy of the leaflet I had to get the onboard credit in the promotion.

I would strongly recommend Ambassador.

The booking procedure was excellent. Knowledgeable sales representatives. I sailed on the Jane McDonald and friends Cruise. This holiday exceeded my expectations. All the staff on the Ambience were polite, professional and friendly. I have now travelled with Ambassador three times. I’ve also experienced the Festive events three/four times. I live locally to Tilbury and the location is perfect. The embarkation process is speedy. I have frequently been on the ship, with drink in hand, in 20 minutes. I have two cruises booked with Ambassador in 2027.
