We booked the Arctic circle and northern lights explorer as a 50th Birthday celebration. This was our first ever cruise, we were so excited and looking forward to seeing the beautiful scenery of Norway. We set sail from Tilbury London on Sunday 22/03/26 knowing that bad weather was forcast, ambassador still set sail. Everything was going well until the captain came over the tanoy to inform us that it would be necessary to amend our planned itinerary! So our FULL ITINERARY was changed overnight, instead of beautiful scenery of Norway and possibly seeing the northern lights we ended up going round Baltic cities with industrial ports. So instead of lovely scenery we opened the curtains to look out over an industrial port! NOT WHAT WE WANTED OR PAID FOR! We got no apology or any compensation all that was offered was a 50% discount on selected future cruises. We can't afford another cruise as we had saved for a year and we lost 2 weeks of our precious holiday being held hostage on a ship round the Baltics. Shocking customer service from Ambassador. DO NOT USE AMBASSADOR!

Ambassador are the Ryan air of cruising. Would I fly with Ryan air? Yes. Would I spend two weeks on Ryan air? No. Arctic explorer and northern lights 13 night cruise, changed into a Baltic cruise with very mixed communications, limited amount of time in port, ship at rest in the day and cruising at night leading to heavy judder midship deck 8. Photo package misleading. Complaints process staggeringly poor. Ongoing, usually left till the last day to reply, incorrect details in their answers, surprisingly so very very poor. Crew excellent, but don’t have a problem, ambassador the worst company I have dealt with, speed of response, copy and paste approach, and little to no consideration for the customer. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid, if you do book and have an issue, expect the absolute worst, and don’t say you weren’t warned! (Provided you read this of course!)

Everything fully explained and my questions answered. Very helpful

Wasn't happy that the credit card didn't go through the first time and had to be re-entered 'securely' on a different phone line. With so many scams these days and potential high value payments it looks suspicious.
