A Great (and lucky) Booking experience

I decided to call rather than book online as this was a special cruise I wanted to get on. It was Jane McDonald's final cruise and it was advertised everywhere and I knew that it would be very difficult to achieve a booking, or even get an answer. I did get through when the lines opened at 10am and spoke to Kerry who was very friendly and helpful. Kerry talked me through the booking process and did have a few issues when the computer system slowed due to the number of people trying to book. I was able to book a cabin where I wanted - midships Deck 10 and the meal times we prefer. Throughout the booking, Kerry was friendly and made my first experience of Ambassador booking a good one.

Booking review

Had a few questions so rang & found customer services very efficient but slightly cool in their tone. Specifically rang about referrals/discounts for new customers & later found out I wasn’t told about the cabin credit referral. Asked whether I should book online or over the phone & was actually told it was easier for them if I booked it myself online. Very different attitude to the other cruise companies I’ve previously used. Booked online which was very quick & easy. Cannot comment on the cruise as yet as it’s not until next year.

The staff on board are so friendly and professional, they couldn't do enough to assist all guests.

It was very easy to book online. We’ve sailed with Ambassador before and wanted to book another cruise with them. There possibly weren’t many spaces left as there wasn’t any choice of decks or cabins. We were pleased that we set sail on my husband’s band return on mine!

Service overall was extremely good. Food very nice. Entertainment excellent. Speciality restaurants very good. Ship is comfortable and love the nostalgia of it. Waiters in restaurants and bars very very good. Just one small niggle. I couldn’t use the tv in my room as the remote was cracked on the back and could not work or turn on tv. Have booked a future cruise

Booked online. Easy website to navigate and book cabin etc. Been on à Caribbean cruise with Ambassador and enjoyed it so have booked another sailing on the Renaissance. Also booked a Norwegian cruise and ‘Sailing with Jane McDonald’ around the U.K. for next year sailing on the Ambience! Would recommend this Company.

We thought it was first class service from the moment we arrived at the car park told us to drop suitcases off at terminal and bring your car back to car park we only got the cases out the boot and the man took them though check in very quickly and the same coming back food and entertainment first class no problems at all booked for next year on board
